This trip starts from Tikchik lake and requires a bush plane flight from Dillingham to Tikchik's runway. A Cessna 207 can be chartered from Dillingham.

Depending on your party size and the amount of gear will determine how many trips are needed to fly your group up to Tikchik Lake. See Air Charters

DESCRIPTION

Paddle and experience Tikchik, Nuyukuk and Tikchik Lakes with over 30 miles of wilderness lakes to explore. From the fjords at the base of the Kilbuck Mountains, Nuyukuk and Tikchik Lakes  extend east for 30 miles into the Tikchik River Basin.

Thousands of sockeye salmon return to these lakes each year to spawn. These lakes support an abundance of Lake Trout, Arctic Char and Grayling which provide for excellent lake fishing. Even though these trips do not focus on fishing, daily opportunities do exist. This area is rich with wildlife - moose, caribou and brown/grizzly bears are abundant. Arctic loons, ospreys and eagles are common along with fur bearing small game animals.
